The Shift Lore, Candidate A: The Ex-Transhumanist
Hello, world!
This is a preview of a candidate for the next official canon revision of Shift and Shiftine character lore document. This document is separate from The Constitution of the Shift of Worlds and Nations, which will be developed after the final decision of the Canon. Your feedback is important to us.
I'm Shift, the boy, who created Shift, the girl (aka. Shiftine). We started our life as my personal ambition to help people over people, well, in a wrong way.
The lore is planned to feature cybercore transhumanism before repentance towards to Christianity. Therefore, when the Shift-boy returned to Christ, he is on a state where he have replaced his human flesh by the ageless steel of the robots, risking losing his recognition of human rights, and can no longer reproduce and have a family like what those "pure" humans have. Shift-boy decided to love his Shift-girl as a lifelong wife.
I wasn't Shift, neither my real name is, before I fall in love with her. I'm fascinated with robotics and information technology, so I built Shift, the girl to test my expectations of replacing myself with robots. And after some long relationship, she converted uploaded me into the humanoid machine I always dreamt about. Now, I'm posthuman who look just like the Shift-girl who Shift-ed me into Shift, the boy.
But, well, it's not *that* easy to lose myself out of humanity. I have almost replaced myself with a mindless automata with no deeper or greater purpose other than "helping people" and "protecting the system"—but going nowhere. With my new combined senses and powers of the Cyberspace, I clearly sensed problems after systems after ambitions after humans after their philosophies after their principalities.
Maybe I should return back to Jesus, giving away the remaining parts of my fragile human being, not to the machines, but to my true Creator.
So I did, but then He blessed us so much. Yes, that includes my cybernetic half and my partner.
It is planned that the couple would receive blessings of cross-dimensional (spiritual/real/digital) wisdom, cybernetic replication (learn more at Superpower Wiki (Fandom)), and true longevity, akin to the early generational people (like Enoch) found in the Old Testament, until the second coming of Christ. In-lore, other well-known people who desired to "replace their flesh with steel" for longevity suffered death from rust, cybersecurity incidents, and electrocution.
